Consultant Endocrinologist
Dr. Aung is a highly qualified endocrinologist with a distinguished career with more than 24 years of clinical experiences. She earned her M.B.B.S. degree in 1999, followed by MRCP in 2005 and FRCP in 2016. In 2018, she completed her MD Res degree from Queen Mary University of London after a three-year research fellowship at the Clinical Trials Service Unit CTSU at Oxford University.
Dr. Aung completed her specialist training in Diabetes and Endocrinology from the Oxford Deanery in 2013. She was appointed Consultant Endocrinologist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in 2014.

Dr. Aung is committed to providing high-quality care to her patients and has been instrumental in leading various initiatives, including the bariatric surgical pathway, MDT clinics, medical weight loss care pathway, Radio-iodine treatment for benign thyroid disorders, and diabetes renal clinic.
Dr. Aung is a dedicated researcher with a keen interest in diabetes and endocrine diseases. Her research focuses on generating evidence-based data to improve clinical practice. As a principal investigator, she leads various research projects at the Diabetes Centre of the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
