Dr Andrew Ingles

General Practitioner

I was born in the Midlands and grew up in Worcester, I then went on to study French with Business Studies at University, living in Nantes and Bordeaux in France. I worked for the pharmaceutical industry for four years and after a short spell recruiting into this sector, retrained in Medicine at the University of Nottingham.

I moved to Bristol to complete my GP training in Gloucestershire and now live in Devon enjoying all aspects of general practice. I have particular interests in urgent and unscheduled care, varicose veins and their treatment.

I have extensive experience as a private GP working for the UK Vein Clinic, Bupa, Nuffield and also for Doctorcall of Harley Street as a home visiting doctor. I also supervise GP registrars in the NHS in the out of hours setting.

I continue to perform micro-sclerotherapy for thread veins for UK Vein Clinic and also treat bigger varicose veins with foam sclerotherapy.

I believe in holistic care and having enough time to truly listen to my patients, for me this is critically important and why I enjoy private practice so much.

Outside of work I enjoy walks in the countryside, clay pigeon shooting and spending time with my young family. I also enjoying swimming and following the Cricket and Rugby.
