Consultant Cardiologist

Dr Mark Cassar is a leading Consultant Cardiologist and multi-award-winning cardiac imaging expert. He completed speciality training at Oxford, where he earned a PhD from the University of Oxford in advanced cardiac imaging, resulting in the highest international certifications. Dr Cassar is nationally recognised for his expertise in multi-modality cardiac imaging (echocardiography, MRI, and CT), having recently won first place in the National BSCI/BSCCT cardiovascular imaging quiz and serving as an examiner for the British Society of Echocardiography.

With an exceptional track record in cardiovascular research, over 35 peer-reviewed publications including lead author publications in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine and Radiology, Dr Cassar brings cutting-edge diagnostic expertise to his clinical practice. He holds prominent national positions including Executive Committee Membership of the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (BSCI) and represents the United Kingdom at the European Society of Cardiology.
